Donation information. When you donate, we collect your email address, and optionally your name, the amount, the campaign you chose, whether you want to stay anonymous and any honor or memorial name you enter. Our payment processor, Stripe, collects your payment details directly. We never see or store your full card number.
Contact information. When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address and message.
Usage information. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects information about how you use the site, such as pages visited and the type of device you use. We do not send your name, email address or payment details to Google Analytics.
Technical information. Our server keeps limited logs, such as IP addresses, to protect the site against abuse.

How we use your information

To process your donation and send confirmations and acknowledgments.
To manage monthly donations and give you access to your donor dashboard.
To respond to your messages.
To keep accurate financial records and meet legal obligations.
To improve our website, if you have agreed to analytics.

How we share information

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the website and process donations, such as Stripe for payments, our email and hosting providers, and Google Analytics when you have given consent. We may also disclose information when required by law.

Anonymous donations

If you choose to give anonymously, we will not display your name publicly. We still keep a private record of your donation for accounting and legal purposes.

Data retention

We keep donation records for as long as required for accounting, tax and legal purposes. Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to respond and follow up.

Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted administrator access with two-factor authentication and trusted payment processing. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work hard to protect your information.

Your choices and rights

International donors

We are based in the United States, and information you provide is processed in the United States. By using this website, you understand that your information will be handled under US law.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
